Capital Campaign - Air Conditioning Renovation!
A Letter from Doug Ing (12/7/2021)
St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church is replacing the air conditioning system that was installed back in the early 1970's. Next year, the A/C system turns nearly 50 years old! And yes, amazingly and thankfully there are a handful of current church members who are still around, who remember the day that wonderfully reliable machine was installed.
I’ve been a member of this church my entire life since being baptized sometime in 1965. I left for life on the US mainland and returned to this church in 2005. Shortly after I returned, the air conditioning system failed. Stand up fans were placed around the circumference of the church. The air conditioning was out for several months. It was hot, the fans did not really cool down the building well.
Our church is going to replace this aging cooling system and needs to raise $100,000 which is the current estimate of the cost to install and maintain a new system.
If a hundred church members each donate $1,000, then the cooling system will be paid for by the congregation.
We know that not everyone can afford to donate $1,000. And perhaps some can afford $10,000! This fund-raising campaign is asking folks to please donate a factor of ten. Whether it is $10, $100, $1,000, or $10,000. Everything given will help raise the necessary funds. Thanks!
Yours in Christ,

P.S. So far we have raised $5100!
