Kenya MinistryDuring Father David Gierlach's tenure, St. Elizabeth's assisted several micro enterprises in Bungoma Kenya. These included Kenyan villagers who grow watermelons, raise bees for honey, nurture cattle, raise goats and who make beautiful crafts. Every Advent our children raised coins and cash for Kenya by wearing scary animal masks while roaming through the pews during the offertory! In cooperation with the local Rotary Club, we raised enough money for a new permanent well to be created for our friends! Take a gander at the video below!

Outreach & Social JusticeSt. Elizabeth's has numerous programs to address the many needs in our community that include a daily food pantry, a hot breakfast for the houseless every Saturday morning, and our newest addition to the St. Elizabeth 'ohana, Wallyhouse, a Catholic Worker house of hospitality. Named for long time social justice and peace activist Wally Inglis, Wallyhouse is the only Catholic Worker house in Hawaii! Click on the links below to visit our Outreach and Wallyhouse pages.

StewardshipWe are an endowed parish but the endowment covers only about 30% of our annual budget. Therefore we rely on the generosity of our members and fellow travelers who support our mission. Thank you for your generosity! St. Elizabeth's has been nurturing our community since 1902--and we hope to still be doing so in 2102! Click the link below to help support our ministry!

Worship MinistryWe are a multi-ethnic parish that speaks or sings 6 languages each and every Sunday: English, Tongan, Chuukese, Ilocano, Cantonese and Hawaiian.
There are five choirs: Bells, Youth, Tongan, Chuukese and Ilocano who make sacred melodies. Eucharistic ministers, lay readers, and ushers are always needed and are most welcome! |
Thanksgiving Thanksgiving morning 250 plates off delight are prepared for the houseless and hungry.
This ministry began as a family ministry of the Langi Family, who kindly shared it with our St E's community. Some 40 folks gather really early every Thanksgiving morning to strip turkey meat, cook the veggies and stir the gravy! Then the food is delivered to folks where they live. |
